Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 2019.
The grapes refer to the importance of viticulture for the area. The hand refers to Jean Massieu, born in Semens in 1772, who developed the French sign language for the deaf.
The base refers to Saint Martin of Tours, the local patron saint.
