En campo de azur, un sembrado de lámparas, de oro. Jefe de gules cargado con un ojo de plata. Al timbre, corona real cerrada.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 5, 2006.

The chief shows an eye as a symbol for St. Lucia, the local patron saint. The lower part shows miner's lamps as a symbol for the (former) importance of mining.
