Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 13, 1965.

The lion in the right half is the lion of the Lords of Oberstein, to which the area historically belonged. The wavy bend symbolises the Bollenbach river, the urn refers to the early Roman grave that was found in the area in 1953.
