Origin/meaning

The arms quarter the cross of the Diocese of Speyer with canting arms (Haneberg, from Hahn (rooster) and Berg (mountain)). The colours of the personal field are not known.

Before he was abbot in the Abbey of St. Bonifatius in München from 1854-1872. As abbot he used the arms shown below. These show three shields, the arms of St. Bonifatius, the arms of the Priory of Andechs and the personal arms.
