In Gold ein schwarzer Adler, belegt mit einem goldenen Brustschild, darin drei liegende schwarze Hirschstangen übereinander.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1904 but have been used since the late 19^th century.

The arms combine the eagle of Rottweil with the arms of Württemberg. The area historically belonged to the Rottweil district of Württemberg. In the early 19^th century the eagle was used with a breastshield with the letters FT (Flecken (=town) Trossingen). Later these were replaced by the deer antlers of Württemberg.
