De gueules à la charrue d'argent; au chef d'azur chargé d'une roue dentée accostée de deux navettes, le tout d'argent, soutenu d'une divise ondée du même.

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on June 8, 1921.

The chief refers to the main industries in the town, textile and fine mechanical industry.

The wavy bar refers to the local rivers, historically used to power the mills for the weavers.

The base shows a (modern...) plough for the importance of agriculture.
