Origin/meaning

The lamp of knowledge symbolizes the Regiment’s light to guide and train soldiers. The conjoined piles allude to mountains and the Arizona landscape. The chief with the wedges signify the sun and the Arizona climate. The combination of the chief, wedges and blue field suggests the Arizona state flag, the location of the Regiment.

The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 4 January 2006.
