Origin/meaning
The arms were granted and devised in 1936.
The sword symbolises the fact that in Lastrup a local court was held. The arms with the leaves is the arms of the County of Tecklenburg, the other shield shows the arms of Oldenburg. Lastrup was part of Tecklenburg and the Counts of Oldenburg had some privileges from the local church.
