Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 22, 1982.
The upper half shows a mill wheel for the former watermills in the region, and wheat-ears for the agricultural character of the region. The lower half shows the lion of the Counts of Zweibrücken, the oldest known Lords of the village (until 1399).
