German heraldry:

Selected collector's items from Germany:

ELXLEBEN

State : Thüringen
District (Kreis) : Sömmerda

Wappen von Elxleben

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on July 7, 1995.

The division line symbolises the Gera stream that runs through the municipality. The deer antler is a canting symbol for the old name of the village, Elchesleibe, Elch=moose or deer. The flaming sword is the symbol of St. Michael, patron saint of the municipality.
