CADOLZBURG
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Fürth
Additions : 1972 Deberndorf (partly), Roßendorf, Steinbach
Official blazon
In Grün ein wachsender goldener Hirsch, zwischen dessen Stangen ein springender silberner Bracke.
Origin/meaning
The oldest known seals of the city date from the early 15th century and already show the composition of deer and dog. The dog is taken from the crest of the Margraves of Nürnberg, from the (Hohen)Zollern dynasty. The origin of the deer is not known. The composition has not changed since. The green field is known since the 19th century.
