Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 30, 2005.

The fleur-de-lys is a symbol of St. Mary and refers to the local Marian sanctuary. The stars are taken from the coat of arms of the Celeste family, merchants from Krakow, founders of the local chapel in the village of Czatolin. The Celestas were a family ennobled in Italy by Pope Pius III, from where they came to the German Empire in the 16th century to Poland, where they dealt with trade in Krakow.
