BURGHAGEL
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Dillingen an der Donau
Incorporated into : 1972 Bachhagel
German |
Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on ?. The black hook is taken from the arms of the Lords Von Hagel, who had possessions in Bachhagel. The castle refers to the Hagel Burg castle in Burghagel, which was destroyed in the middle of the 15th century and never rebuilt. I have no information on the origin or meaning of the crosier.
