SCOTS GUARDS, BRITISH ARMY

History: Raised in 1642 as Argyle's Regiment, re-raised as Scottish Footguards in 1661. Brought on to the english establishment as Scotch Guards in 1686. Scots Fusiliers Guards in 1831 and Scots Guards in 1877.
