Origin/meaning

There are several seals known of the village, more than from any other village in the area. The oldest dates from 1616, and all show a star in a shield. All seals, except for one dating from the 18th century, show a six-pointed star, the exception showing an eight-pointed star. The meaning or origin of the star is not known.
