NOIRVAL

Département : Ardennes

Blason de Noirval/Coat of arms (crest) of {{PAGENAME
Official blazon
French D'argent au chevron renversé de sable, accompagné de trois mouchetures d'hermine du même; au chef de gueules chargé d'une coquille d'argent accostée de deux fers de lance du même.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 5, 1999.

The black inverted chevron is a canting element, the name means black-valley. The other elements are taken from the arms of different families, to whom the village belonged; the ermine from the Du Bois family, the shell from the Sahuguet family and the spear-heads from the Miremont family.
