PFÖRRING
State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Eichstätt (until 1974 Ingolstadt)
Additions : 1971 Ettling, Wackerstein; 1972 aden bei Pförring, Forchheim; 1978 Lobsing
Official blazon
In Blau auf grünem Boden zwischen zwei rot bedachten silbernen Rundtürmen ein Gebäude mit rotem Dach, belegt mit dem Rautenschild.
Origin/meaning
The arms are based and nearly identical to the oldest seal of the town, which dates from 1374. The arms show a gate, as the town had walls, even though it was not a city, and the arms of the Dukes of Bayern. All seals and later images show the same composition.
The arms by Hupp in the Kaffee Hag albums +/- 1925 |
