PRAT DE COMTE
Region : Catalonia
Province : Tarragona
Official blazon
Escut caironat: de sinople, una ovella pasturant d'argent acompanyada al cap d'un sol d'or. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.
Origin/meaning
These arms have been officially granted on 26th March 1991.
Both the grazing sheep on a green field and the sun are traditional elements of the arms of Prat de Comte, and are canting: they allude to the name of the village, literally in Catalan "Count's meadow".
