Official blazon

In Rot unter einer goldenen Krone nebeneinander drei stehende Rauten, die mittlere silbern, die seitlichen blau.

Origin/meaning

Kallmünz was a possession of the Wittelsbach family and received town rights in 1283. The arms were granted in 1455 by Duke Albrecht III of Bayern. The official document still exists. The diamonds are derived from the arms of the Wittelsbach family (see Bayern), the crown is a symbol of the Dukes themselves. The arms have not changed since.
