Arms: Azure; a Lion a lion rampant Argentwithin three boar's heads erased Or

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1934. The Lion is from the arms of the Earl of Home, Governor of the Bank in 1934. The Boar's Heads allude to the arms of the Duke of Argyll. Which was the first Governor of the Bank.
