The arms were adopted in 1903.
 
The arms show the bordure of the Princes of Fürstenberg with the arms of the Lords of [[Schellenberg]]. The village was for centuries a possession of the Lords of Schellenberg and was sold to Fürstenberg in 1616.
 
In 1935 the village of [[Hausen vor Wald]] was granted the same arms, which were used until 1945.

The arms were adopted in 1903.
