Shield: Azure (Oriental Blue), a chevronnel debased Or, below two griffins' heads in fess point erased addorsed and conjoined of the like.

Motto: SENTINELS OF THE SUMMIT.
Distinctive Unit Insignia. Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 3/16 inches (3.02 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Azure (Oriental Blue), a chevronnel debased Or, below two griffins' heads in fess point erased addorsed and conjoined of the like. Attached below the shield a Black scroll inscribed "SENTINELS OF THE SUMMIT" in Gold.
Origin/meaning
Oriental blue is the primary color associated with Military Intelligence. Gold is emblematic of excellence and achievement. The chevron, a symbol of strength and support, suggests a mountain peak and connotes the unit's affiliation with the 10th Mountain Division. The griffins, ever vigilant and alert, appear above the mountain peak, epitomizing the unit's motto and mission.
