Origin/meaning

From the Crest of Admiral Sir Michael Seymour who was commander-in-chief of Brish Ships on the China Coast when Canton was captured in 1857 and the Taku Forts was breifly captured in 1858 before Peace was signed. The badge was approved in 1919.
