SMALL ARMS SCHOOL CORPS, BRITISH ARMY

History: In 1926 the Small Arms School, Hythe (before 1919 the School of Musketry formed 1854) was amlagamated with the Machine Gun School, Netheravon, The amalgamated School in 1929 become the Small Arms School Corps.

Official blazon

A Vickers machinge gun, theron a psir of crossed rifles with bayonets fixed, a crown whithin the angle formed by the rifles above the machine gun; the whole within a laurel wreath; on the wreath scrolls inscribed on the left side "Small", on the bottom "Arms" and on the right side "School". In silver plate for officers and in adonized aluminium for other ranks.
