CHARLES HUBERT LE BLOND
Born : November 21, 1883
Deceased : December 30, 1958
Bishop of Saint Joseph, 1933-1956
Titular Bishop of Orcistus, 1953-1956
Official blazon
- (personal arms) Gules, a stag's head caboshed, with a crosslet fitchy issuing from it between the antlers, both silver.
Origin/meaning
As common in US episcopal heraldry, the arms show the arms of the diocese impaled with the personal arms of the bishop.
The arms show the symbol of St. Hubertus, the patron saint of the bishop. The colours are based on the most common colours found in different Le Blond family arms from France and thus symbolise the last name of the bishop.
