Badge: Argent a compass rose, each point parted Argent and Sable, charged with a maple leaf Gules.
Motto: SCIENTIA EST VIS.
Origin/meaning
The compass rose comes from the badge of the Intelligence Branch, and the maple leaf is a symbol of Canada. Both elements were used in the cap badge of the Corps of Guides, an earlier intelligence unit in the Canadian Army. Motto: This latin phrase means “From knowledge, strength”.
The badge was approved on April 15, 2014.
