MAUENHEIM

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Tuttlingen (until 1973 Donaueschingen)
Incorporated into : 1971 Immendingen

Wappen von Mauenheim/Arms (crest) of Mauenheim
Official blazon
German In Blau mit blau-silbernem Wolkenbord ein stehender, rot bewehrter silberner Storch.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were designed by the State Archives of Baden in 1902 and adopted in 1903.

The arms show a bordure taken from the arms of the Princes of Fürstenberg, to which the village belonged from 1613 until 1803. The meaning of the stork is not known, but the bird appeared on the 19th century seal of the village.
