THE ROYAL SCOTS FUSILIERS, BRITISH ARMY

History: Raised in 1678 as the Earl of Mar's Regiment, taken on the English Establishment in 1688, becoming in 1751 21st Foot. In 1959 amalgamated with The Highland Light Infantry (City of Glasgow Regiment), British Army to form The Royal Highland Fusiliers (Princess Margaret's Own Glasgow and Ayrshire Regiment, British Army.
