Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 1, 1955.

The village was part of the State of Mainz from the end of the 13th century until 1803. This is symbolised by the wheel of Mainz and the red and silver colours.

The three roses are taken from the arms of the Counts of Wertheim, the stars from the arms of the Schenken von Erbach. Both families ruled the village for a long period of time.
