MAITENBETH

State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Mühldorf am Inn
Additions : 1882 Innach

Official blazon

Schräg geteilt von Gold und Blau, oben ein fliegender schwarzer Rabe mit rotem Holzspan im Schnabel, unten ein springendes silbernes Ross mit Zaum.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 13, 1980.

The raven with the stick refers to the legend of the foundation of the local church, in which a raven took a bloody piece of wood from the church of Neukirchen to Maithenbeth. Where he put the stick on the ground, the local church was built.

The horse is taken from the arms of the Haag County, which used a silver horse in its arms. The horse was derived from the oldest Lords of Haag.
