The two wavy bars symbolise the Eider and the Brocklandsau, which run through the municipality. The horse symbolise the importance of horse breeding and riding in the area. The colours are those of the State as well as the Ditmarschen district.

Von Rot und Silber durch abgerundete linke Schrägstufe geteilt. Oben ein steigendes silbernes Pferd, unten zwei blaue Wellenbalken.
