Origin/meaning
The municipality does not use arms since the 1997 merger.
The previous arms were officially granted on February 17, 1997.
The willow tree is a very common tree and typical for the Oderbruch area in the municipality. The local basket making tradition was based on the use of young willow branches; the tree thus was of importance for the local economy.
