Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1903.

The arms show the bordure of the Princes of Fürstenberg with the arms of the Lords of Schellenberg. The village was for centuries a possession of the Lords of Schellenberg and was sold to Fürstenberg in 1616.

In 1935 the village of Hausen vor Wald was granted the same arms, which were used until 1945.
