BARIA RANJIT INFANTRY, BARIA

History: raised in 1909. It took part in World War I and in the 3rd Afghan War of 1919. Reorganised under the Indian State Forces Scheme in 1923. During World War II its services was placed at the disposal of the Government of India. In 1949 it was integrated into the Indian Army.
