Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on December 10, 1991.
These rather modern style arms show as a symbol of the mining in the area the characteristic hills of used ore. The rose is a symbol for the famous rosarium in Sangershausen. The hooks are taken from the arms of Sangershausen city.
