Nederlandse Waterschapswapens

VALLEI EN EEM


Opgericht 1989, in 1992 naar Gelderse Vallei en Eem, in 1997 opnieuw opgericht.
Aangezien Gelderse Vallei en Eem geen wapen heeft gevoerd zijn beide waterschappen Vallei en Eem niet apart opgenomen.

Toevoegingen (I) : 1989 de Eem, Grebbe, Heiligenbergerbeek
Toevoegingen (II) : 1997 Gelderse Vallei en Eem (Gelderse Vallei (1989 Barneveldse Beek, de Bovenste Polder onder Wageningen, Grebbedijk, Lunterse Beek, Wageningen en Ede), Vallei en Eem I), Noord Veluwe

I : 12 juni 1997

" Verdeeld door de omgekeerde gaffelsnede; rechts in keel een kruis van zilver, links in azuur een mispelbloem van zilver, van onderen in sinopel een golvende dwarsbalk van zilver. Het schild gedekt met een gouden kroon van vijf bladeren."

Oorsprong/verklaring :
Het waterschap ligt in twee provincies, er is dus gekozen voor een combinatie van het kruis van Utrecht en het oudste symbool van Gelderland (zie aldaar). De schildvoet benadrukt het feit dat het gaat om een waterschapswapen.
