"In azuur een uitkomend koggeschip van goud; een golvende schildvoet, golvend gedwarsbalkt van 6 stukken, zilver en azuur. Het schild hangende aan een lint van keel in een lindeboom van natuurlijke kleur."

Oorsprong/verklaring :
Sprekend, alhoewel de afbeelding een handelskogge toont en niet een strijdbaar binnenschip zoals in de naam bedoeld. Dit laatste type schip is een platbodem met roeiers, wat heraldisch moeilijk uit te beelden is. De lindeboom is een oud rechtssymbool en komt veel voor in West-Friese wapens, o.a. ook in Midwoud en Sijbekarspel.
