MATTCanton : Glarus
Origin/meaning: The arms show the local mountains with flames and in the upper part three burning discs. These flames and discs symbolise the local Schybenfleugen tradition. At the evening before Carnival burning wooden discs or squares were placed on long hasel sticks and sluch from a cliff into the village. Literature : Tschudi-Schümperlin, 1941
