BOTKYRKA

Origin/meaning :
The arms were registered in 1974 and again in 1983.
The arms of Botkyrka contains an image of Sr. Botvid, which in his hands holds his attributes, an axe and a fish. The saint has given the place its name, and thinking about the last part of the name, kyrka (church), a saint is of course appropriate as a charge.
