Origin/meaning: In 1797 Kupiansk became part of the Kharkiv province, and the arms were subsequently changed, the arms of Voronezh were replaced by the arms of Kharkiv province. ![]() In the late 19th century B. Kene designed new arms for the city. The main charge was still the marmot, but the (new) provincial arms were placed in the first quarter.
