Origin/meaning:
The saltire is the attribute of St. Vincent, the local patron saint of Susqueda, the former chief town of this municipality; since 1967, the village is under the water of the Susqueda reservoir, in the river Ter. The second partition of the arms show a horseshoe and a sword, the attributes of St. Martin, the local patron saint of the new chief town, Sant Martí Sacalm. These arms have been officially granted on 24th May 1988.
