Origin/meaning:
The palm tree is the attribute of St. Christopher, the local patron saint, and the three chevrons symbolise a place named El Migmón, a series of cliffs dug out by the river Cardener, at North-West of the town: the action of water on Súria fault has outcropped the gypsum and salts of this land. Actually, most people of Súria works in the potassium salt deposits as this one. These arms have been officially granted on 8th May 1990.
