Origin/meaning:
Canting arms: they show a "xoriguer" (Catalan for "kestrel", or Falco tinnunculus) and, below, the valley of Soriguera (formerly known as valley of Siarb), in the Pyrenees, where the village stands. These arms have been officially granted on 15th July 1992.
