Origin/meaning:
The canting arms of the Cabreras (a goat Sable on Or, "cabra" in Catalan, with a bordure of pieces Sable) remind the castle of Cabrera, standing in this municipality. This castle was the centre of the barony of Cabrerès, that became the large viscounty of Cabrera. These arms have been officially granted on 4th March 1999.
