Origin/meaning:
The floury mount standing over the rocks is a canting sign: Pujalt is a variation of "puig alt", Catalan for "high hill". The saltire Argent on Azure is the attribute of St. Andrew, the local patron saint. These arms have been officially granted on 5th April 1995.
