Origin/meaning :
The arms show the attributes of St. Genís (Genesius), the local patron saint: a laurel wreath and a palm, as a martyr, and a bird feather, as he was a notary. The royal arms of Catalonia-Aragon (four pales Gules on Or) allude to the fact that Pacs was a royal village. These arms have been officially granted on 15th March 1984.
