Province : Tarragona

Origin/meaning:
The arms were granted on April 21, 1983.
The olive tree is a traditional sign in the arms of this village; in fact, els Guiamets is dedicated mainly to the agriculture, especially towards the production of wine (it's situated in the wine-making area of the Priorat) and olive oil. Until the 18th century the village was incorporated to the municipality of Tivissa, that belonged to the barony of Entença; the arms of the barons (Or, with a top Sable) are shown here.
