GRANADA
The city was the capital of the Moorish Kings and was finally conquered by the Spanish in 1492. It was taken by Ferdinand II of Aragon and Isabella of Leon, who can be seen in the upper part of the arms. The bordure is also a combination of the arms of Castille and Leon. The lower part shows the tower La Vela and a canting pomegranate.
