BURGOS
The city was founded in 884 by Diego Rodriguez, count of Castille. The bordure and the two smaller shields show the arms of Castille. The town was the capital of Castille-Leon until 1492. The king in the arms was added during the reign of Henry II of Trastamara (1368-1379).
