The arms show a castle, from which arises a tree with a cross.
The castle is the local castle. The cross is derived from a local legend. Around the year 800 there was a battle close to the village between the local Christians and the Moors. During the battle miraculously a cross appeared in the sky. This gave courage to the Christians, who subsequently won the battle.
